Romania
I was not prepared for what I was to see in this country.
I knew that communism had gripped the country for decades but
the broken spirit in the eyes of the people was very deep
and they seemed very hopeless. It was hard ministering in
this type of atmosphere but the one thing you learn is that God
is faithful.
The orphanages that we ministered in would break
your heart. The children where unkept and unloved.
I reached out and lifted one of them to hug them and he
froze like a board. He had no concept of affection.
I called Cherrie and told her I wanted bring home a bus
full of the children. We prayed for the kids and left
toys for them trusting that what little love we could
give, God would multiply in their hearts and lives.
